HOW CONNECTEDNESS TO TECHNOLOGY CONTRIBUTES TO ANXIETY, DEPRESSION & IMPACTS STUDENT LEARNING
Presenter: Ann Duckless, M.A., NAMI NH
Co-Facilitator: Amy Jo Muscott M.Ed., Bridges: Domestic and Sexual Violence Support
Teens and young adults are immersed in technology impacting their neurological and psychosocial development. This presentation will create a space for dialogue about the role that connectedness to technology, e.g. mobile-based and social media, plays in youth development of all ages; communication and relationships with others; and how these factors relate to signs and symptoms of anxiety and depression. Understanding the impact of technology is an important component for educating and supporting students. Participants will be able to explore social emotional milestones and competencies as well as address current challenges with students in their classrooms and schools. Certificates of attendance will be provided.
Please register to attend.
