SOS Signs of Suicide

This half-day training prepares individuals to provide suicide prevention

education for youth using the SOS program. The training walks participants through the program materials and the planning process to ensure schools are ready to implement an evidence-based suicide prevention program.

Topics will include:

• Understanding of recent legislation, SB 282 (now RSA 193-J), a (mandated) act relative to suicide prevention
• Facilitating a classroom discussion about depression and suicide with 6th-12th graders
• Providing youth suicide prevention training for teachers and school staff
• Coordinating with school administration and community partners for support
• Reaching out to parents as partners in prevention
