teen Mental Health First Aid Instructor Training Opportunity
Through a contract with the NH Department of Education, UNH Extension is hosting a teen Mental Health First Aid Instructor training August 17-19th from 9am-5pm (virtually). This is also a National Council for Mental Wellbeing course. Unlike the YMHFA Instructor training, this opportunity is meant to train teens in grades 10-12 on how to give peer support. To be a successful tMHFA Instructor you would work closely with a school, or youth serving organization, to have full grades or cohorts of students to be tMHFA trained. The training is at no cost; as with YMHFA instructors will be asked to sign an agreement, and will work with all instructors to help with the implementation of the program. To learn more please take a look at this one-pager or reach out to Kendra Lewis directly.
The deadline for this is quickly approaching-please let me know if you are interested 7/8!
