Working with students and peers in, at least intermittently, intense situations requires effective social skills based upon a thorough understanding of human nature. This workshop, which is based on the latest science, will outline the unconscious biases and shortcomings of our human nature; shortcomings that can keep us from acting rationally, even when we think we are. An incomplete understanding of how we human beings behave causes us to make errors in our professional as well as personal lives.
